If I understood correctly, the guy recently walked from Agia Roumeli to Paleochora in one day. Or rather, ran. From sunrise to sunset. And in the photo, he didn't even look tired.

Xyloskalo to Koustogerako via three springs (Linoseli, Kouroupo and Akonizia). The walk (expedition) starts from Xylosala to the Linoseli col (via the Linoseli spring), crosses high on the west side of the Tripoti gorge, passing the Mitato Kouroupito (and the spring), the Akonizia spring, the summit of Touba and onto Koustogerako. Fabulous autumn colours. There is a link to a gps trail on wikiloc. Very remote area!

Koustogerako, Achlada, summit of Psilafi and down to Xyloscala.

Niato to Chora Sfakia via the Sfakian gorge followed by a return to Niato via the Iligas gorge.

Trek down the Kalikratis gorge with return via the Asfendos gorge.

Trek on the north side of the Lefka Ori to the peaks of Mavres (Mikri and Megali) and Ornio.

Fabulous viewing if you enjoy the mountains and gorges of W. Crete.

thank you for pointing on this video! John Kasiolas has very nice videos, high quality - and often to rarely visited places. This helps me to dream about the next visit in Crete.

Kouroupito mitato is my favourite spot in Crete...
