Hallo levka-ori members,
First, please pardon if I write this first mail in globish-english : the fact is my german skill is so bad I won't be understood.
Two, I would like to know where one can buy maps (avasi levka-ori maps 25.000, or something good about West Kreta, like Loraine Wilson's book) in Kreta, and preferably in Heraklion city (or Airport ?) or Rethymnon or Hania.
I bought the Avasi maps here in France, online, a few days ago, but for some silly reason, I won't get them. As I have no time left to buy them anymore online (take off 6/4 early morning !), I'm looking for a shop in Kreta resseling some accurate maps.
Does anybody here able to help me in my quest ?
Viele Danke
Gilles

Bonjour,
Quelqu'un saurait-il où je pourrais acheter, en Crète, des cartes précises de l'Ouest de la Crète, comportant le sentier E4 ? Je recherche l'adresse d'une librairie crétoise vendant ce genre de documents.
Merci.

Re: Where to buy your maps in Kreta ?
Hello Gilles,
I hope it is not too late: You will be able to buy the Anavasi maps in a lot of shops in Crete. Just watch out - they are available from newspaper shops in tourist areas for instance. However, I have never seen Loraine Wilson's book for sale in Crete.
Have a nice stay in Crete!
Best wishes
Simon

Re: Where to buy your maps in Kreta ?
Hallo Simon,
Never not too late. Thank your for replying
I'm back from Creta, and there is no difficulty indeed to find there Anavasi topo maps or treck guide. As I have had some trouble in France to (not) get the expected maps, I was afraid they were rare. I was wrong. I didn't see Loraine Wilson's book.
It was a nice, walking and enjoying week.
Thank you for running this forum.
Gilles.
