es wurde eine Kirche gebaut - direkt hinter der Schutzhütte auf der flachen Fläche. Im September fehlte nur das Dach.
Agios Georgios und Profitis Ilias geweiht - ganz günstig, weil man 2x pro Jahr ein Fest feiern kann....

Ok, here is the (rough) translation:
The shelter Svourichti or Christos Chouliopoulos belongs to the Mountaineering Club of Chania, located in the heart of the White Mountains, just below the top of Svourichti and opposite Pachnes and Modaki.
The capacity is 25 people and the access from the south is from Anopolis, while from the North from Therissos and Omalos.
The shelter will operate after agreement with Chris Paterakis from April to October.

Also Anfang September war sie offen. Es fehlte noch eine Tür. Ich würde mal davon ausgehen, dass diese dannauch nicht verschlossen wäre und platzmäßig würde es sicher für 2 - 3 Personen ausreichen!

Jetzt erschließt sich mir die PN von Christoph von gestern abend.
Wann wurde der Bau der neuen Kirche begonnenen? Als ich letzten Juni an der Katziveli war, ist mir nichts aufgefallen.

Mitte voriges August war die Kirche halbfertig. Zwei Albanern waren sehr fleißig mit dem Bau beschäftigt.

Well, let's see how things will develop. I assume that a church is not built without a reason - especially in this environment. I might of course be wrong....

Hello together

Last night I remembered this topic in my sleep
As I've been at Katziveli in May, I haven't seen a chapel/church. Maybe it's northwards behind the Katziveli refuge (regarded from the mitato). I haven't been at that place.
Attached a copy of the mentioned facebook post. There is nothing written about a church.
From my point of view it's just an 'invitation' to visit the Katziveli refuge.
So what about the church .. and the road
Maybe we have to ask Christoforos Baladimas.

Hello Matze,

the church is built behind the emergency shelter and besides the mitato (there is a flat area behind the emergency shelter - towards the big refuge). It is still roofless but it is there.
