Ich habe das Amphitheater auch vor ein paar Tagen besucht.

Gibt es Theorien?
Minoisch, hellenisch, römisch... ausserirdisch?

Es ist auf jeden Fall sehr beeindruckend und auch ein schöner, einfacher Weg dahin!

...Haha ...,das heben wir uns vielleicht für die Zeit auf, wenn wir keine Kraft und Power mehr haben, selbst durch die Berge zu wandern....
Auf dem Sessel am Kamin im Wohnzimmer zu Hause wird dann genügend Musse und Zeit sein, den geschichtlichen Fragen der Sfakia nachzugehen und detailliert aufzuschreiben...., ein paar Jahre noch Geduld, Daniel....

Beste Grüße von dem schönen Platz mit fantastischem Ausblick auf die Hochebene! Ich war heute morgen dort.

I finally got to visit the amphitheatre at Agioi Pantes above Omalos. I initially turned west, following the kalderimi around Kaimeni Kefala summit. The kalderimi is in poor condition and I lost it many times, also I took a few short cuts up and down as I saw the kalderimi above and below me

I made a quick detour to ascend Kaimeni Kefala. The grass and spurge areas feel really remote and despite their proximity to Omalos

The amphitheatre is unusual at the almost ruined mitato-church of Agioi Pantes. There's a couple of mitata along the route down to the plateau too

I took a look at your path and can confirm your statements.
Except for part roughly leading south towards Agion Panton I have done the walk in 2023.
I really like the area because it is very unlikely to hit another soul for the whole walk.
So always take care and have a wonderful time!

Thanks Michael, yes it is quiet. As was the Linoseli ascent today, I walked up Volakias and only saw 2 people from Xyloskala going up and 4 on my way back
