E4 an der Tavri-Ebene abgesperrt

Ich war gestern auf der Niato-Ebene, und der gpx-Track stimmt wohl an einer Stelle nicht mehr. Wenn man von Ammoudari kommend an der Tavri-Ebene ankommt, stößt man auf einen gut zugedrahteten Zaun, da hat wohl der Eigentümer den Weg gesperrt. Man muss dem Zaun nach links folgen, um das abgesperrte Gebiet zu umgehen. Wie der Pfeil auch anzeigt.

Von Niato kommend, ist die Umleitung nicht so selbsterklärend, wenn man vor der Absperrung steht, muss man wieder 100 Meter oder so zurücklaufen, und an der nächsten Abzweigung die linke Schotterstraße nehmen, nicht die rechte aus Niato, die man gekommen ist

Man sieht gut die Stelle, wo ich erst mal wild rumsuche, statt direkt dem Pfeil auf dem Zaun zu folgen...

Moin, die Tavri Ebene ist am westlichen Ende, bei der Schotterpiste schon seit vielen Jahren eingezäunt. Der Unterschied zu jetzt, man konnte die grüne Tavri Ebene immer durchqueren.

Ja also es ist eigentlich kein Problem. Man geht von Askifou kommend einfach links am Zaun entlang, ist auch kein großer Umweg, aber natürlich nicht ganz so schön, wie über die kleine Ebene zu laufen. Was mich aber wirklich wundert, ist , dass der Zaun zum Teil oben noch zusätzlich mit Stacheldraht gesichert ist. Hochsicherheitstrakt sozusagen

und wie gesagt, von Niato kommend verwirrend. Bin einem John aus England begegnet der sagte, er sei es schon oft gelaufen und jetzt wäre das alles total "weird"

I was the 'John from England' who you met. The now fenced off section across the meadow used to be fairly obvious in both directions - I recall it was sign posted with E4 poles. When I met you I had come from Niato and was initially confused as I'd never had an issue find the route here. As you said when you find the gate - you need to back track about 50m, go down a track and traverse around the fence. The perimeter of fence has a few short E4 poles to mark the way - I guess these are the poles that used to show the way across the meadow.

All this sounds a bit confusing. Maybe, new waymarking should be done in this area...

Huh, I've just passed through that area enroute to Askifou. I turned early (from the direction of the tavri refuge) to bypass the meadow, cutting through the small farmyard. The gates as usual were weakly secured with a wire. Arriving at the gate at the descent to Askifou, I found the gate was hanging off its hinges, however the fence panel blocking the gate was only secured with a single wire. I went through and reattached the wire. Only then did I see the 'NO ENTRY/ΑΠΑΓΟΡΕΥΕΤΑΙ Η ΕΙΣΟΔΟΣ' sign

Considering that it's E4, on a signposted route, and only secured with standard Sfakiot twisted wire, maybe they're the only signs with landowner had, or perhaps they're more aimed at hunters?
