Hi Daniel,

in late autumn, there is obviously a higher risk of fog or (low) clouds. Sometimes, you might be lucky and "traverse" the clouds and end up in nice waether higher up but there is no guarantee. I would not start this trip if clouds or fog are predicted.

It is very responsible that you take so much water (no criticism - in my opinion a good idea). Usually, we try to carry around 10 kg (incl. food for 2/3 days but without water). That's a bit easier if you are two persons. :D But on Crete, very warm clothes are usually not necessary. Best wishes Simon
