Thank you for your post. Your description is close to what I imagined. We will take a closer view around Drakoulakis, and if things doesnt feel right we will just return to Kroussia. We will be at Platanos in Anopoli for 14 days, starting in the end of April.

We usual hike late April early May.....we also hiked in September but mostly in the mountains. We prefer the springtime.

I am sure you cab get hold of the new Anavasi map in the shop at the square in Chora Sfakion.

A couple of years ago we had the most wonderful walk from Imbros to Kali Lakki further on to Skarfidakia and Mouri. We went down to Ilingas and from Thesparta the old kalderimi to Anopoli. A walk of about 8 hours. Sabine maybe you can find a little inspiration in the link below Best regards Lennert ...
